How we got here
Hospitality has run in this family for three generations, starting with hands-on hotel operations long before either company existed on paper. That experience became Derby City Hospitality — site selection, brand approvals, construction oversight, and day-to-day management for every hotel the family takes on, including hotels built from the ground up right here in Kentucky.
DCH Capital was built on top of that foundation. Rather than raise money for hotels someone else would run, we opened our own projects to accredited investors under Regulation D, Rule 506(c).

Keyur Patel

Keyur grew up around the family business, and that early, hands-on exposure remains the foundation of how he approaches every deal today. Before hospitality, he earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Marshall University and spent nearly a decade as a software engineer at Paramount Global, a Fortune 500 media company — rising to Lead Software Engineer over mission-critical systems that demanded fast, high-stakes decisions. That discipline and analytical thought process still shapes how he underwrites deals and evaluates risk today.
He's also a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) through the American Hotel & Lodging Association. As Principal of DCH Capital and CEO of Derby City Hospitality, his approach is investor-first — transparency, alignment of interests, and conservative underwriting, informed by running hotels day to day rather than evaluating them from a distance.
